This tough weeping shrub has white stems that bear olive-like leaves. Mauve flowers are produced in early summer, followed by bright red berries with epic antioxidant properties. Berries can be consumed fresh but are often dried and used in both sweet and savoury dishes. Flavour is like sour cherries or cranberries. Semi deciduous in cool climates. Can be grown in containers. Prized by the health food industry.
