The Trinidad scorpion pepper is one of the hottest peppers in the world. As is evident from the name, this species is indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago, hence sometimes referred to as the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper. Crowned World’s Hottest Chilli in 2011 by Guinness Book of Records but later outdone by the Carolina Reaper.
