Known for its mild, sweet flavour and brilliant red colouring, these are easy to grow. Regular watering will ensure their sweetness. Can be harvested early and used as scallions or let them mature until the bulb is large and rounded, and the tops begin to yellow and fall over. Harvest immediately or leave them in the ground for a bit longer to store and use as needed. Allow your onions to cure after harvest for around 7-10 days in a warm airy place with good air circulation. They can then either be braided or have the brown tops trimmed.
