Choy sum, also known as Chinese flowering cabbage or yu choy, is a popular leafy green vegetable used in Asian cuisine, particularly in stir-fries and soups. It's characterized by its tender stems, green leaves, and yellow flowers.

It can be harvested at various stages, from baby leaf to just before flowering. People often confuse it with bok choy or Chinese broccoli, but it generally has longer stems that are more cylindrical than bok choy, and they’re more tender than Chinese broccoli.
