Also known as saw tooth or saw leaf coriander, long coriander and perennial coriander. The leaves are long and serrated along the edges. It will flower profusely in summer so prune the flowers at the first sign to encourage leaf growth. Eerily similar in smell and flavour to regular coriander, the leaves are tougher and can stand some light cooking.
The roots can also be used and the prickly seed head can be made into a spicy paste. The leaves can be dried and will retain flavour and colour well.
It will tolerate a hot or humid summer whereas regular coriander will bolt to seed.
