Also known as ‘Sweet Mace’ or ‘Winter Tarragon’. A common substitute for common tarragon, this herb has a sweet aniseed flavour. It grows well in garden beds and pots. It will die back in early spring and reshoot in Summer. Ideal for making flavoured vinegar and for drying the leaves for teas. The long-lasting marigold-like flowers are a magnet for bees, with minty-like edible petals that are lovely in salads.
